Full Time Program Support Staff
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Program Director
DNA Alignment: Mid-Atlantic Teen Challenge (addressed as MATC throughout this document) is a Christ-centered, non-profit ministry focused on behavioral and substance abuse treatment and recovery. Our mission is helping boys find freedom from life-controlling issues through Christ centered solutions. This position requires someone who is a born-again, Spirit-led believer who agrees and adheres to the Christian doctrines found on the MATC website. Core Objectives: Team members execute the mission of MATC in support of the vision and goals of the Board of Directors and the CEO. Possess the ability to work closely with MATC Affiliates to communicate the ministry vision, values, and strategy of MATC. Produce a healthy culture in the field. Keep the Teen Challenge DNA and spiritual focus alive while also attentively supporting the implementation of MATC’s five strategic initiatives:
– Leadership development
The Program Support Staff at MATC will maintain Teen Challenge accreditation through training and continuing education provided through Bridge online. The staff will be responsible for making decisions based on the whole of the ministry and its program. Teen Challenge is a fluid ministry. Its fluidity requires its’ individuals to be able to maintain the safety and well-being of the students and facility in unexpected circumstances. Flexibility is key. The staff will be expected to make decisions in a moment to accomplish the prior stated. The staff carry the authority to make adjustments occasionally to the daily schedule if so determined by the staff on shift. The staff will engage in an ongoing basis with the following foundational basics of business: administrative, interpersonal, personal financial management, leadership skills & development.
Responsibitlies & Expectations: Provide support to the mission of MATC by:
1. Managing the flow of the schedule during scheduled shift
2. Managing the safety of the building and student body
3. Conduct safety and compliance inspections of student clothing wardrobes
4. Complete safety inspections of chemical hutch
5. Complete safety inspection of student’s razors
6. Perform regular checks with a headcount of students on scheduled rounds
7. Work with a variety of smart phone applications for job completion
8. Assist the Program Director in accomplishment of weekly duties as assigned.
9. Assist/work at full capacity during quarterly Family retreats as scheduled
10. Other duties as assigned

The supervision of students is solely the responsibility of part time and full-time team members. All members shall ensure at all times students are kept within sight and sound.
-High School diploma or equivalent
-1 year experience working with adolescent boys in a behavioral health or correctional setting
-Proven consistency in sobriety, responsibility, and accountability
-Demonstrates pursuit of excellence in, self-motivation, attention to detail, focus, and dedication

Support Staff Internship

Overview: Receive training and experience working with troubled teens struggling with addiction, drug or alcohol abuse, and defiance.
Gain ministry experience through discipleship and mentoring opportunities
Help with campus improvements and other projects as needed
Help with fundraising opportunities for the ministry
Compensation: Free food and board is provided to all interns during their time with us
After 6 months, interns committing for longer periods of time who have shown initiative and a commitment to the mission of our ministry may receive a stipend ranging from $100-300/month.
