Students will spend 9 to 12 months in a residential home. (We also offer a 6 month Life Skills program for 17 1/2 year olds.) They will receive individual, group, and family counseling, work ethics, and room and board. Church and Bible studies will also be an important part of the program.
Students will go to the academy on site. We use the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E) program. It is a self paced, individualized academic program. If a student has fallen too far behind, they can also prepare to get their G.E.D. Students who graduate from the Academy will be recognized in a special ceremony to celebrate this accomplishment.

The cost for one student is about $2100 per month. However, we charge the parents $1200 per month. The remaining amount will be raised by donations from churches, businesses, and individual donors. There is an application fee of $75. On the day of entrance, there is a one time entrance fee of $500. You must also pay the cost of a bus ticket home in case the boy returns home. Also, upon entry, the parent pays $1,200 for the monthly student fee. All fees are non-refundable no matter what. If the child leaves in a day or two, none of the funds can be refunded. Parents are required to sign an agreement acknowledging this information. A parent may submit the past year's tax return and two paycheck stubs for each parent and step-parent with the financial aid application to see if they qualify for a reduced rate. No one will receive a reduced rate without evidence of need. All Teen Challenge Centers are independent from each other and raise their own funds.
